Al Capone, The Last Days: A Terror Haunting an excerpt

How did these demons begin a haunting at Al Capone’s house, on Palm Island, Florida?

I believe this occurred after many séances were conducted throughout the life of Capone, in various places where he once lived; For example, the town of Amityville, New York, which has had a long history of paranormal activity. In the 1970’s The Defeo family lived in a home on 112 Ocean Avenue; they were involved in a murder massacre in which the son Ronald DeFeo, Jr. was found to have been the killer. He was charged in the multiple slayings of his family members, and was believed to be a victim of demonic possession. It is speculated that the Ocean Avenue home is plagued with a demonic haunting, witnessed by people who have lived in the home. This multiple murder case became known as a famous haunting--which spawned the creation of the best selling book called "The Amytiville Horror, A True Story" by Jay Anson, and well known motion pictures, based on the Amityville Horror. In this terror tale, it was believed that there were demons haunting the house, and witnessed in the home was a demon described as having glowing red eyes.

Al Capone lived on the same Ocean Ave street many years earlier in Amityville as a young man—later on in life as Capone took on a career as a famous notorious gangster, in the life style culture of the gangsters of the 1920’s 30’s, he was convicted and sentenced to serve 11 years in federal prison at Alcatraz, in the San Francisco bay. It is also believed that while in that prison, Capone had complained numerous times that ghosts would enter is cell and begin to bother him--other prisoners were also describing seeing ghosts as well. There is a well known documented story of a prisoner who was sentenced to the hole (solitary confinement) for breaking a prison rule. In this story, it is described that after the prisoner was locked in the cell, he was heard screaming by the prison guards that there was something in the cell with him--something with glowing red eyes--analogous of the demon in the Amityville haunting. Many books and video documentaries have been produced that purport a history of haunting on the Island Prison, not just with Al Capone. On March 21, 1963, Alcatraz was closed after nearly 29 years of operation, and 10 years later was re-opened as a tourist attraction, and museum. Every year thousands of people visit the prison, and many come to visit the cell that once housed the notorious gangster.
